In-depth “Chemical Peels Techniques and Theories” Class

A comprehensive six hour class given by Michelle D’Allaird delves into every aspect of chemical peels and peeling agents. Attendees learn details about specific peeling ingredients, including where they come from, how they work, who they are recommended for and how they physically act upon the corneocytes and keratinocytes in order to deliver distinguishing results to the epidermis. 

The class also covers the in-depth physiology of the cellular components of the epidermis, keratinization and desquamation, as well as the biological, physiological and environmental factors that influence the cell turnover process. Skin analysis and skin typing, classification, consultation, contraindications and pre/post peel care are covered.

Michelle D’Allaird

She is a licensed esthetician and cosmetologist as well as a CIDESCO diplomate, the most advanced certification in the field of esthetics. D’Allaird is a contributing writer for Les Nouvelles Esthétiques & Spa and Dermascope magazines and has co-authored the Salon Fundamentals Aesthetics textbook. She speaks at conferences across the United States and is a consultant for an international cosmetic company, providing educational services around the world. Michelle is also vice president of education of the Aesthetics International Association.
